Cohort St Ives is an educational residential centre in the heart of town. We have been hosting school groups for over 10 years and have a Learning Outside the Clasrroom Quality Badge along with awards for Green credentials and accommodation facilities.
We host educational groups from KS1 through to KS5 and beyond; and our packages range from fully-organised Christmas Sleepovers for local primary schools through to independent, self-led trips for A level and university students. Specialising in Art, Geography / Geology and Enrichment trips we have connections with local educators and sites in order to provide a complimentary itinerary planning and booking service. We also offer full board, half board, B&B and self-catering options – whatever you need to suit your students and budgets.
During the summer and Easter (school) holidays we open to the public offering budget and youth hostel-style accommodation. We have private rooms, dormitories and family rooms; all at an affordable price, ensuring that staying in the heart of St Ives is an option for everyone. Housed in an ex-Wesleyan Chapel our facilities include Superfast WiFi, a full equipped self-catering kitchen, a communal lounge, small bar area, TV room, private courtyard (where you can store bikes and surf boards if needed), washing facilities, a dry room and free tea / coffee up to 10am.
At Cohort you can choose to spend the night in a pod-dorm bed, complete with its own reading light, lockable storage, plug socket, USB port and curtain, or a private room, ideal for people wanting more privacy, families and groups of friends. Please always BOOK DIRECT on our website for the best price. Bookings which come through online travel agents, i.e. Expedia, will be more expensive.

Accessibility
The limitations of our Grade II listed building mean we cannot accommodate guests who are confined to a wheelchair. However we do have a disabled toilet and an accessible dorm room on the ground floor for those with different needs. Visit the Access page of our website or email with any questions.
Local directions
Cohort is a 5 minute walk from the train/bus station. Follow the main road into St Ives town centre (if you’re coming from the train station walk through the car park to find it) and keep following it as it turns sharply to the right and goes downhill. At the bottom of the hill take a sharp left turn into Gabriel Street. Walk past the library and the Co-Op supermarket (on your right) to find Cohort after that on your right hand side, opposite the Merlin Cinema and next to St Ives Theatre.
