Sanderling Cottage
- Overview
- More Info
Sanderling is the quintessential Grade-II listed granite cottage in Downalong, perfectly located and full of history.
The former fisherman’s cottage is set over 3-storeys with the recent extensive refurbishments having transformed the interior, yet retaining the character and original features such as wooden floorboards and beams.
The property has two bedrooms, one with king-sized double bed, the other a twin with two singles, the largest of the two on the top floor with its own en-suite wc.
Downstairs is the well-equipped kitchen/diner, shower room and rear courtyard with an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after a busy day on one of the nearby beaches. The courtyard is ideal for storing surf boards and other beach gear.
The cottage is kept warm and cosy with wall-heaters and heated towel rails, so is equally perfect for a short winter break as it is for a family summer beach holiday.
