Little In Sight

As the name of this beautiful property suggests, there is little to see from the exterior of this quaint Downalong cottage. But once you open the door and walk inside the space just opens up before your eyes.

The cottage is perfectly located just seconds away from the stunning and family-friendly Porthmeor beach, just paces up a footpath known as The Meadow right in the heart of the old fishing quarter of Downalong that is surrounded on three sides by the harbour, stunning beaches and beautiful clear blue seas.

Little In Sight has been completely renovated and refurbished and yet still retains much of the building’s original character, in-particular the living room’s high vaulted ceilings with exposed timber beams. The property is set over three levels and the middle floor is the real hub of the house with open-plan light and airy living room, kitchen and dining space. Open up the glass sliding doors and the outdoor terrace instantly becomes part of the house, and the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dining during the warmer summer days and evenings.

With its large squidgy corner sofa and Smart TV the spacious living room is the perfect place for lounging after a hard day on the beach, and with an inviting fire it is also perfectly cosy for hunkering down with a fluffy blanket during the cooler winter months.

Head downstairs to two of the bedrooms, one with two singles and the other a king-sized double with its own suite, including lounge area with TV and sofa, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room. Also downstairs you will find the family bathroom with sunken corner bath… and its own built-in tv!

Upstairs is the third bedroom, this one with a king-sized bed, en-suite shower room and yet another outdoor terrace, this one with sea views over the Downalong rooftops.

The nature of the twisting turning cobbled streets in this area mean that parking has to be a little further away. Whilst you can offload your car very close by, the reserved parking space for Little In Sight guests is located up the hill at St Ives Rugby Club, approximately fifteen minutes on foot or just a short regular shuttle bus ride away.

There are many fabulous art galleries within a few minutes walk, and Tate St Ives is just around the corner from Little In Sight. With the whole of St Ives within a very short walk you will be spoilt for choice as to which beach to visit or which restaurant to eat at, but the fabulous Porthmeor Beach Café just a few seconds walk away is the perfect choice to enjoy a stunning sunset whilst dining in a covered pod overlooking the beach.
