Parking in St Ives

A guide to parking in St Ives.

Exploring Beyond St Ives is best done by car but to know St Ives is to understand its parking opportunities. There are a select number of short and long stay spaces in and around town so be aware of busy times during any given day or time of year.

There is a fantastic Park & Ride system operating during peak months that takes full advantage of the St Ives branch line railway. Park your car at St Erth station then board the Park & Ride train as it weaves around the bay with breath taking views of the sea, stopping at Carbis Bay and Porthminster, St Ives.

Additional evening services are provided during the summer. Concessionary passes are not valid on this http://www.stivesbuses.co.uk/service. Staying For A While? You Need Weekly Rover Tickets

It is recommended that if you are coming for a week or longer to obtain a weekly rover ticket this will allow you to park in all five long stay Cornwall Council car parks. The rover ticket is charged at £60 per week you can apply through the Cornwall Council website here.

A rover ticket lets you park your car in most (but not all) Council long stay car parks for one week, for a single payment.

You can now buy them to start at any time of the day, so you can park immediately after you have paid if you need to.

  • Our tickets are electronic so you will not have a ticket to display in your windscreen.
  • Once you have purchased your ticket, your ticket is valid once you receive confirmation.
  • Our Enforcement Officers can check your ticket using your vehicle registration.

Car parks where rover tickets are available

Further information can be obtained on the Cornwall Council website. Buying a rover ticket from Cornwall Council does not guarantee you a parking space.
