Oystercatcher is a relaxed and friendly, family-run bed and breakfast in Carbis Bay.
Brilliant fresh local produce from some of Cornwall’s most respected suppliers are brought together to give you the very best start to the day.
We have three en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has a comfortable double bed, an arm chair, TV and wifi. Fairtrade teas and coffee are provided in your room along with fresh milk and tasty Cornish biscuits. Our Principal Bedroom has two arm chairs in the bay window to take full advantage of the spectacular sea views.
Set in a classically white-washed Edwardian property, and sitting within a row of period coastal homes, the breakfast room enjoys stunning panoramic sea views across St Ives Bay. Oystercatcher is the perfect base to visit St Ives as well as explore West Cornwall by car or bus. We are situated within walking distance of the bustling harbour town of St Ives and the beautiful sandy beach at Carbis Bay.
Your host Deborah likes to explore West Cornwall and find the secret spots. As a family we love good food and have based a lot of our own travels on finding amazing food destinations all over the world! We have previously worked in many aspects of hospitality, even afloat, and so genuine hospitality is what you can expect, as well as lots of tips and advice to help you get the most out of your visit.
With our comfortable en-suite bedrooms, great breakfasts and free parking, we are sure that you will have the most enjoyable of stays.
Our rates are per night and based on two adults sharing, and include breakfast, wifi and parking. Minimum stay of 2 nights.

Parking: Free parking is available for all guests on the drive at the front of the house.
Check-in: is from 4pm, unless by prior arrangement. Latest check-in is 8pm.
Check-out: is before 10.30am.
All our bedrooms are located on the first floor. If you cannot climb stairs comfortably, please contact us prior to booking so we can discuss accessibility and suitability.
We regret we cannot accommodate children or pets.

Directions
If arriving by car, from the A30 follow signs for St Ives and A3074 Carbis Bay. You will drive through Lelant and up into Carbis Bay. When you pass the Costcutter shop on the left in Carbis Bay, keep going. You will pass the turning for Polmennor Drive on the left-hand side and we are 200m further on the same left-hand side. Our driveway is immediately after the Oystercatcher signpost in front of the house. Please reverse park.
If travelling by train, although Carbis Bay is the nearest station, it is a 15-minute walk up a steep hill to Oystercatcher that would be difficult with heavy luggage. We recommend that you alight at St Erth on the mainline to Penzance and take a 10-minute taxi ride or bus; or take the beautiful scenic branch line from St Erth to St Ives and take a taxi from there.
Newquay airport is approximately a 50-minute drive away and Exeter airport is approximately 2 hours away by car.
