Maris Clothing Co

Like many good ideas, this one started at the beach. Whilst being sat with some friends watching the sun go down after another amazing day at Porthmeor beach in St Ives.

Wearing a hoodie by a major surf brand and a cap by another large scale outdoor brand, we thought “why can’t we produce a range of clothing for everyone to feel comfortable in?”

So we did! and Maris was born. Maris is Latin in origin, meaning ‘of the sea’ which is derived from the phrase Stella Maris ‘star of the sea’

Maris Clothing Co. is for everyone, nearly all of our clothing is unisex, simply because as a company we don’t make a judgement about people so why should our clothing.

We have launched our first retail space in our home-town of St Ives, so if you are in the area please drop into our Fore Street store. However, we know how many of you like to take a small piece of the sea with you wherever you go, so please get in touch via the site or through our social channels.

Our motto is simple, enjoy what you’re doing and feel comfortable in what you are in, whilst you do it. We use 100% organic cotton wherever possible, all of which is secured from responsible sources and finished here in the UK.

Our styling is simple and quite linear, and we have looked to secure the best quality garments whilst still maintaining a price which is accessible to all. We want Maris to be for everyone.

Our team is small, but we are very passionate about what we are doing. If you ever find anything you can’t see in stock please drop us a line and we will look to include it where possible within our next clothing run.
